AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), a Statutory body of the Govt of India, has release a public notice clarifying that prior approval of AICTE is mandatory for institutes to offer programmes in specified professional areas.

Checking the AICTE website, we found the following list of institutes in this context :

a) 279 Un-approved Institutes in Engineering & Technology  (as per list dated 8 Feb 2016)
